Notes on Player Placement

One concern expressed over the years is that a small number of youth players decide to stop playing baseball, if they are not ready to advance to the next age-appropriate division. Parents may request in the registration process that their children receive consideration to play down or play up if appropriate. Such requests may be granted in appropriate circumstances subject to participation in evaluation days for both divisions. The Division Presidents will determine if the league can accommodate the requests. We believe that providing this flexibility to meet the needs of individual players will also benefit the league and help improve the quality of play in all divisions.

ECYB may allow four year olds to play in the Shetland division, but permission to register must be obtained through petition.  The Shetland division president may require an interview and/or an evaluation as part of the qualification process.
